When we started designing WordWeaver Adventures, we wanted to ground our design in real world settings that reflected some of our family's cultural history. We wanted our art work to be both culturally and regionally specific, so we decided to try to use animals that were mostly endemic to the regions we were depicting. We also wanted them represent the attire that people in the late 1800s would be wearing.
